| LIZ LEMON'S BACK STORY
Liz Lemon grew up in White Haven, Pennsylvania. She has one brother, who due to a skiing accident, thinks he is perpetually in 1985 and that he is 17 years old. Liz's career in television writing was inspired by Rosemary Howard, the first female head writer of Laugh-In. While attending Smith College she earned a B.A. in theater tech and spent her junior year in Frankfurt, Germany.
After graduation she lived with TGS cast member Jenna Malone in Chicago. The two developed The Girlie Show as part of the Second City theater group. When The Girlie Show was picked up by NBC the pair moved to New York and Liz became head writer.
